Penang State Delegation Official Visit to India

YB Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy is heading a delegation from the Penang State Government on an official visit to India from 21st to 27th August 2016. The delegation is scheduled to visit Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and New Delhi and hold meetings with their counterparts in those cities.

The members of the delegation include:-

2. YB Dato’ Seri Hj. Farizan Bin Darus, Penang State Secretary
3. YB Tanasekharan Autherapady, State Assemblyman for Bagan Dalam Constituency
4. Mr. Ramachandran Muthiah, Executive Director of Penang Hindu Endowments Board
5. Mr. Surentharan Ramadas, Secretary of Penang Hindu Endowments Board
6. Dato’ Sundarajoo Somu, Chief Operating Officer of ECO World Development Group Berhad
7. Mr. G.K. Paramasevam, Chairman of Penang Society for Advancement of Tamils (PSAT)

The Penang State Delegation made a courtesy call on the Hon. Shri. R. V. Deshpande, Karnataka State Minister of Industries.
The Penang State Delegation made a visit to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru.
The Penang State Delegation was taken on a tour around Infosys Campus in Bengaluru.
In Chennai, the Penang State Delegation visited the IIT Chennai Research and Development Park on August 23, 2016.
Mr. Vaiko, the General Secretary of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) received YB. Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy and the Penang State Delegation upon their arrival at Chennai International Airport.

The Penang State Delegation arrived at the New Delhi International Airport on August 24, 2016. They were received by Dr. M. Mahalingam, Research Fellow, Centre for Policy Analysis, Jamia Millia Islamia Central University, New Delhi, India.
The Penang State Delegation took the opportunity to visit the world famous architectural marvel, Taj Mahal at Agra on August 25, 2016 during their official visit to India.
The Penang State Delegation also took the opportunity to visit the Agra Fort, a former imperial residence of the Mughal Dynasty and a UNESCO World Heritage site on August 25, 2016.
